First Day (of the re-start)

Today I woke up and went to the health food store to buy rennet and citric acid. I have been wanting ravioli for a while now so am going to try making quick cheese with lactose free milk. On my way back I stopped at the grocery store to pic up some lactose free whole milk, and saw the Cabot cheese was buy one get one free. So I picked up two. I've been eating grilled cheese sandwiches so I have a loaf of honey wheat bread. I slathered two slices with butter and a little basil on one slice, then put some of the cheese on the bread with two slices of tomato and grilled it up. I could probably eat about  3 or 4 of these sandwiches in a sitting if I put my mind to it.

After this I got a knock on my door, where a friend invited me to go with him to the gym. I may not go on my own but I am much more likely to go if you come to my house :) . So after cleaning up the kitchen a bit and getting ready I spent about 25 minutes on the elliptical and worked on a few weight machines, was even able to bench press the bar 7 or 8 times (yes this is an accomplishment for me!)

When I got home I decided to try an egg-salad recipe, I had picked up some eggs from the store as well and hard boiled 3. I took two of them and mashed them up, mixed with a healthy squeeze of japanese kewpie mayo, some salt and pepper and a pinch of confectioners sugar.  I slathered it between two pieces of honey wheat bread and realized this has got to be my favorite egg salad sandwich yet!
Hungry again, 2 hours later, I decide on eating a plum and some left over rice(4.25oz) with butter(.25oz).

So I ended the day by over-stuffing myself on pasta. Went to a friend's house to watch the latest Dr. Who episode. Before hand I ran to the grocery store and got about a lb of ground beef and then I saw that pasta was $1 per box and buy one get one free on garlic bread. So I went over to my friends and made a box of pasta, with tomato sauce and meatballs, garlic bread, then to be healthy I added some spinach. I tried to make spinach out of a can but the color was more brown than green and had an awful smell and taste, luckily my friend had some frozen spinach in his fridge. I had two full helpings with probably just under half a loaf of garlic bread.
